Objective: An outbreak of scrub typhus was declared by Public Health authorities in our district October, 2022. To investigate this a team experts from Microbiology, SPM, Medicine and Pediatric sent to the place they observed that there heavy vegetation, stagnant water, dwellings heavily infested with rodent population. There rain past two weeks district. cause sudden upsurge febrile illness cases.
 Methods: Blood samples were collected 28 persons who symptomatic fever/headache/diarrhea/rash myalgia do tests for Scrub typhus, Typhoid fever, Malaria, Dengue, Complete blood count, CRP, LFT KFT. The which positive rapid test kits subjected IgM ELISA confirm typhus.
 Results: Seven twenty-eight patients tested (25%), four them (14.28%). Three Widal-positive (10.7%). More than half showed increased CRP levels (53.57%). Thrombocytopenia mild leucocytosis cases (42.85%) as well typhoid Conclusion: Any during monsoon should be investigated thoroughly not only specified disease but also all infectious diseases are prevalent area.

Scrub Typhus Outbreak, Northern Thailand, 2006–2007

During a scrub typhus outbreak investigation in Thailand, 4 isolates of O. tsutsugamushi were obtained and established in culture. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 56-kDa type-specific antigen gene demonstrated that the isolates fell into 4 genetic clusters, 3 of which had been previously reported and 1 that represents a new genotype.
